Summary of Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to work within the Raytheon Assured Position Navigation and Timing Systems team, part of the wider Systems & Products business unit, to produce Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems and Alternative Navigation Solutions for the military market.
The role will provide support across Raytheon’s range of APNT products, providing Systems Engineering expertise across the product lifecycle, from requirements capture, Analysis, Design through to testing, qualification, and certification activities.
Main Duties:
1. Primarily supporting our flagship products, this role will provide support to the System Design Authority support and Systems Engineering Team leadership for customer support, production support and obsolescence maintenance of our established products.
2. Management of project requirements, generation of technical documentation.
3. Systems Analysis and Design work and participation in technical design reviews.
4. Supporting the Systems Team in the generation of bid proposal material and submission of bids in response to customer requests.
5. Definition and design support for our next generation products.
6. Undertake development studies and investigation activities involving product performance and interfacing with various internal stakeholders.
7. Laboratory work for product testing.
A successful candidate will be comfortable integrating into a large team to accomplish their goals.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential
* Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle from requirements through to project completion.
* Experience with generation of technical documentation at all levels.
* Understanding of policies, practices and procedures, and the ability to communicate these to their team.
* Ability to work in a team and perform to project directives.
* Ability to work autonomously, with limited oversight from Team Leaders and Management.
* Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics) or similar industry certification.
Desirable
* Knowledge of GNSS systems and receiver characteristics.
* Experience with the IBM Rational DOORS toolset.
* Experience with RF (including Antennas) and Digital Hardware design and test.
* Algorithm development incorporating Modelling experience in MATLAB/Simulink.
* Experience with SysMl or UML in a Systems Engineering environment.
* Experience with configuration management systems.
