The Clerk / RFO is the proper officer for a Parish Council. They must have accounting/book keeping experience and either hold or be prepared to obtain the Certificate in Local Council Administration (Cilca). They will manage the day-to-day activities of the council including legal compliance with Health and Safety checks, and arrange general maintenance in conjunction with the available budgets. They will liaise with external contractors and other local authorities. The position is generally working from home but some evening work will be required at least 3 times a month to support council meetings.
