ROTATIONAL BAND 6 OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - Development post, Permanent
Full time opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time permanent band 6 occupational therapists to join our rotation programme. This is a developmental band 5 to 6 post where there will be a nine-month period for you to further develop your skills and knowledge for a senior occupational therapy position.
This post provides the opportunity to develop in depth clinical and leadership knowledge, working in settings across the acute and community. These include the acute stroke teams, community assessment bed settings, medical and surgical team, and orthopaedics. There is a broad range of community specialities that you can work alongside as part of the rotation programme.
Main duties of the job
This role provides the opportunity to build upon your clinical, managerial and leadership skills within a supportive, friendly and forward-thinking team. We are very keen to develop our staff through the provision of training and development opportunities, and strongly advocate the engagement of therapists with the continuous development of our service. This post is suitable for a band 5 who is actively progressing in their career towards a band 6 position.

Person Specification
Education & Qualification
Essential
* oDegree in Occupational Therapy (BSc/MSc) or equivalent
* oHCPC registration, or have started the process of applying for HCPC if residing outside of the United Kingdom
Desirable
* oMembership of the Royal College of Occupational therapists (RCOT)
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
* Extensive occupational therapy experience as a qualified therapist within a range of settings
* Documented evidence of Clinical Professional Development (CPD), demonstrating transferrable skills
* Previous experience of working in an NHS health and social care system
Desirable
* oPractice Educators Course
* oExperience of supervising students or staff
