The successful candidate will report to the Head of Platform Development. A key responsibility will be to execute manufacture of new products/platforms currently within development. This will require a person with good manufacturing discipline with innate flexibility. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a multidisciplinary laboratory environment, is efficient with their conduction of manufacture & experimental execution. One who can deliver to the highest standards under the direction of the scientific management team. A successful candidate will have exceptional skills in multi-tasking & organisation with a keen desire to question, challenge & improve currently held assumptions & procedures. You have: Masters degree in Biochemistry / Chemistry or other similar disciplines. 2 years industrial experience gained in a Biotech and/or CDMO environment within a manufacturing or similar environment. Proven working experience with recombinant DNA cloning/gene assembly, and knowledge of cloning techniques including Gibson and Golden Gate cloning ; Experience with DNA analytics such as agarose gel electrophoresis, Capillary gel electrophoresis & quantification. Proactive and able to organise ones own work and manage key manufacturing timelines to meet client expectations. Ability to follow and to create SOPs and other types of manufacturing documentation (forms, logbooks, process instructions). Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to react swiftly & decisively when faced with challenges.
