Multi-Skilled Technician (Fire Sprinkler Engineer)
Location: Dumbarton, will be required to work across other sites in Central Belt.

Your unique contribution: The Multi-Skilled Technician (Fire Sprinkler Engineer) will provide the support required to meet the business needs to achieve results in both planned and breakdown maintenance, ranging from hands-on work to administration through the computerised asset management systems (CMMS).
You will have three main areas of responsibility:
1. Maintenance: to follow the company CMMS to maintain and repair equipment and to procure equipment and materials required to support maintenance activities. You will carry out routine servicing, fault finding, repair, monitoring and testing of sprinkler systems equipment across the sites as well as mechanical and electrical equipment in warehouse areas.
2. Technical Support: to provide technical support to the production team in a high-pressure manufacturing environment, updating the relevant documentation accordingly and communicating issues with the correct people.
3. Contractor Support: to supervise and support engineering contractors as well as to prepare and manage Permit to Work for high-risk activities.
Who you’ll be working with:
Internally: you’ll collaborate with the wider Bulk Operations and Engineering teams as well as other teams including Production, Health & Safety, HR and Finance.
Externally: you will collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure all services are delivered to the highest standard.
Your blend of talent: This position could be right for you if you:
1. Are time served in a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (Electrical or Multi-Skilled) or equivalent, with a HNC or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline.
2. Have previous industry experience and the ability to diagnose and rectify faults on mechanical and electrical equipment.
3. Are familiar with computers and Windows driven software.
