Council Member (Trustee) Ulster University The Council of Ulster University is seeking to appoint new Council Members to play an active role as charity trustees on its governing body, with appointments being made for an initial period of four years. As the governing body of the University, the Council works in collaboration with the Vice-Chancellor and his Executive Team to set the tone for leadership culture across the institution and to provide oversight in the delivery of the Universitys strategy - People, Place and Partnership. It is a rich and stimulating environment with significant personal and professional development opportunities available to the successful candidates. As a Council Member, you will support the Council in providing sound governance oversight and strategic direction to the University. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the work of at least one of the Councils core Committees and to attend/participate in many wider aspects of University life. The University is seeking exceptional candidates with proven experience in the management/governance of a public, private, community or voluntary sector organisation and with relevant experience across one or more of a range of specialist areas.
