The opportunity Mechanical Architects work between customer requirements and the detailed design process to establish a coherent top-level missile design. Mechanical Architects are deployed across all missile product teams and work across all stages of missile lifecycle. They draw upon inputs from stakeholders across the engineering departments and perform performance trade off studies to ensure a balanced solution for our missiles. Mechanical Architects work with a wide range of technical functions and provides direct input towards project delivery across the business. Within the role you’ll be working on allocated projects, which could be at any stage of its lifecycle The role comes with the experience of working with various people and departments within MBDA to achieve successful delivery of your project. During the scheme you’ll get the opportunity to learn how to undertake and manage design and performance trade-off studies. You will get involved with the design and delivery of subsystems into the project (E.g. Data links, Actuation systems, Telemetry Units. Etc) along with the possibility to assist with trials and testing of components and missiles during the development phase. What we’re looking for from you Degree Qualified to a minimum of 2:2 in an Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Production/Manufacturing Engineering discipline.
