One of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with a century's worth of industry experience is recruiting a PLC Commissioning Engineer to join their team to carry out surveys, testing, commissioning of PLC/HMI, ICA, and telemetry systems for Scottish Water.

Commissioning Engineer - The Role:
1. Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed and that RAMS are prepared for all projects requiring site works.
2. Work closely with key clients to ensure their requirements are understood and met.
3. Conduct site surveys to evaluate system requirements and interfaces.
4. Test and commission ICA and PLC-based control systems including Profibus and industrial Ethernet.
5. Test and commission motor control equipment including DOLs, VSDs, and Simocode.
6. Test and configure PLC, HMI, and SCADA packages, cFAT, SAT, and site-based commissioning.
7. Liaise closely and develop a good working relationship with the client/end user.
8. Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under considerable time pressures.
Technical Responsibilities:
1. Ensure Engineering and Design activities meet all international standards.
2. PLC / SCADA / HMI configuration, testing, and commissioning.
3. Instrumentation configuration, testing, and commissioning.
4. Network/communication design, configuration, and commissioning.
5. Ensure adherence to quality systems.
Commissioning Engineer - The Person:
1. HNC/Degree qualified in a relevant engineering subject.
2. Minimum 5 years experience in a system integration environment.
3. Water industry experience is highly desirable.
4. Siemens/Rockwell PLC family experience is highly desirable.
5. ABB/Siemens drives experience is desirable.
