We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a friendly and supportive team in a vibrant primary school located in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. This position involves supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) students, helping them to develop and flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
The successful candidate will have experience working with young children in an educational setting, specifically within the EYFS curriculum. You should possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate patience, kindness, and understanding when working with children.
Responsibilities:
– Provide one-on-one and small group support to EYFS students, both inside and outside the classroom.
– Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging EYFS lessons.
– Help to create a positive and nurturing learning environment for all children.
– Observe and monitor student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
15. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers

17. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
18. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
19. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
