Engineer – HV Diagnostics Forseven, a revolutionary company is looking to transform the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, are seeking an Engineer – HV Diagnostics to join our highly skilled and dynamic Vehicle Electrification Team. This role will be reporting into the Engineering Manager – Powertrain Systems. The role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of our offices in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new and dynamic department from the very beginning of the company's journey. The role will focus on the development and delivery of the Forseven High Voltage System systems covering aspects of powertrain diagnostics, electrification diagnostics and thermal diagnostics over multiple programs delivering into multiple markets. What you will do: Analyse and define requirements relating to diagnostics based on customer specification, supplier software and homologation requirements. Engage with and support suppliers and internal stakeholder including homologation, service and software teams to ensure strategy can deliver diagnostic requirements. Deliver and develop core Forseven powertrain, electrification and thermal diagnostics, to include aspects such as high voltage safety and charging, from standard calibration delivered by suppliers. Plan and execute diagnostic development activities on range of vehicles in conjunction with wider powertrain test and validation team to include the support of climatic test trips and vehicle builds. Produce high quality reporting and documentation – including regulatory - to provide a suitable audit trail of the diagnostic exercises completed. Who you are: Significant experience of electric powertrain within an automotive engineering environment to include a comprehensive understanding of the V-Cycle. Experience of vehicle diagnostic calibration and analysis utilising toolsets such as ETAS INCA and Vector CANalyzer. Demonstrable understanding of high voltage architectures and underlying principles and technologies including thermal management, high voltage safety and control strategies. Proven track record of working on complex vehicle control issues around diagnostics including experience in analysing software strategy guides and documentation in order to deliver diagnostics at the vehicle level. Possession of an Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive or similar honours engineering degree. Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will be considered. High Voltage training to Senior Authorised Person or IMI Level 4 preferred.
