We have an exciting opportunity for a FEA Tools Engineer to join our championship winning team, ensuring we have the best tools and processes to keep us fighting for the F1 championship. In addition, you will have the chance to lead innovation with many forward-thinking and inspiring projects.
Based in the heart of our F1 design office, you will be working in an open and dynamic environment, alongside the structural analysis teams across the entire Technology Campus. You would deliver solutions to the very highest standards, ensuring that we have the best tools and processes, and enabling our teams to transform designs into reality as fast and efficiently as possible, without sacrificing accuracy or reliability.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Continually innovate targeting new techniques and processes leading the development from concept through to production ready.
2. Provide FEA knowledge and expertise to the Tools group, and work towards knowledge transfer between Aerodynamics and Stress departments.
3. Take responsibility for improving the correlation of software techniques.
4. Develop pre- and post-processing software tools and simulation workflows.
5. Support development of the FEA tools documentation portal and ensure the structure and content is kept up to date and is accessible by the FEA team(s).
6. Organize, control, and report any tests necessary for achieving the tasks in good condition.
7. Good understanding of FEA principles.
8. Programming with Python (C++ and other languages are advantageous).
9. Using Linux command line.
10. Work with other teams to gather project requirements, create a plan, and deliver within expectations.
11. Work with code management systems.
