Business Development Manager (Lettings) – Essex
We are seeking a proactive and driven Business Development Manager to join my client at their Lettings Agency, in the Southend area.
This role will focus on identifying and securing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving growth. In addition to business development responsibilities, the successful candidate will occasionally assist with property management tasks, ensuring an understanding of operational functions within the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
* Identify and generate new business opportunities to expand the agency’s client base and portfolio.
* Develop and implement strategies for market penetration and growth.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, landlords, and potential clients.
* Attend property-related functions to increase brand visibility.
* Research market trends, competitors, and local property values to inform strategic decisions.
* Regularly report on business development activities, progress, and results to the managing director.
* Negotiate and coordinate renewal contracts.
Property Management Support:
* Support the property management team by occasionally handling property viewings, tenant onboarding, and move in/out procedures when needed.
Key Requirements:
* Experience in business development, sales, or management (experience in the property sector is preferred).
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* A proactive, goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Understanding of property management practices and letting processes (knowledge of the local property market is advantageous).
* Experience with CRM systems.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Knowledge of relevant legal regulations in the letting industry is beneficial.
* Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.

Salary: Depending on experience £28,000 – £33,000pa plus commission.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday.
