Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within the All-Age Safeguarding Team, Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (NWICB) for a Child Death Review Nurse. This post is a 10 month secondment to cover maternity leave. Are you a compassionate and experienced Nurse who is committed to reducing preventable child deaths? The Child Death Review Team hold responsibility to ensure that each child death is reviewed, with learning taken and shared to reduce future child deaths. The CDR Service is Nurse led, and works very closely with the Designated Doctor for Child Death to provide a consistent, quality service across Norfolk and Waveney. You will work as a skilled member of the CDR Team and work in partnership with agencies across Norfolk and Waveney to ensure that the process to support families is effective.You will provide frontline CDR specialist support from attending the multi-agency Joint Agency Response (JAR), leading Joint Home Visits, being involved with Child Death Review Meetings (CDRM) and supporting the review at the Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP). You will help to identify themes and trends and disseminate learning across the partnership, collaborating with professionals to inform and change practice. Norfolk and Waveney CDR Service uses eCDOP and you will help support the collection of data through this system. Main duties of the job The post holder, in collaboration with the Lead Nurse for Child Death, will be responsible for advising on the implementation, co-ordination and management of the response to all child deaths, in accordance with government legislation and local safeguarding partnership arrangements across the Norfolk and Waveney ICB area.
