Job Summary
Support the Development Team with the successful design and delivery of the project pipeline.
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm. Up to 1 day per week remote working
Closing Date: 31 March 2025
Main Responsibilities
1. Assist with the handover of Southbank Place, seven live residential and aparthotel buildings, working closely with the internal construction, operation and wider teams to ensure smooth transitions including planning, testing, snagging and problem solving as required.
2. Support the submission of planning applications as required to meet project requirements.
3. Lead small projects from start to finish, such as public realm improvements, minor changes to completed buildings or scope change to existing buildings under construction.
4. Manage change control processes.
5. Negotiate and complete consultant appointments.
6. Compile and maintain risk registers across selected projects.
7. Provide accurate reporting on budgets and financial information.
8. Manage purchase orders, change orders, and team instructions as needed. Conduct technical due diligence for transaction activities.
9. Assist leasing teams with retail leasing and fit-out processes, ensuring smooth transitions for new tenants.
10. Coordinate surveys for projects across the Canary Wharf estate.
11. Collaborate with project teams, on-site contractors, and professional teams to problem solve and drive effective delivery of the project pipeline.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
1. Qualifications: Relevant degree or professional qualification in project management, construction, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
2. Experience: 1 to 2 years’ experience in project management, either within Project Management consultancy or a main contractor.
3. Strong coordination and organisational skills with the ability to lead small projects from inception to completion.
4. Strong financial acumen to support accurate reporting on budgets and financial information.
5. Commitment to excellence and high-performance delivery.
6. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong IT skills.
