Job summary We require an enthusiastic administrative /clerical secretary to provide efficient and reliable support to the Gloucestershire Adult Bladder and Bowel Service, based at Cheltenham General Hospital. This role is part-time, 30 hours per week. You must be able to work in a busy environment, sometimes under stressful situations with speed and accuracy. You will be required to work with minimum supervision and be able to liaise with patients, specialist nurses, secretaries, managers and consultants on a daily basis therefore good communication skills are essential. You should have an excellent telephone manner for dealing with patients, Trust and Countywide personnel as this will be a key part of the job. Main duties of the job Main duties include: - Answering the telephone and activating incontinence pad orders for patients and care homes within Gloucestershire and managing the Home Delivery Supply system. - Typing correspondence letters to patients, GPs, medical staff and any other required addressee following a clinical attendance. - Booking outpatient appointments for patients. - The applicant(s) should have appropriate secretarial experience and keyboard skills to RSA Stage III with audio typing. - You should have good interpersonal skills and organisational skills, together with the ability to work alone and/or part of a team. The ability to prioritise the workload is paramount. Knowledge of Word, Excel is essential and TrakCare knowledge is also desirable.
