Location: Bangalore About the team: The department of Group Trucks Operations - Quality & Engineering (GTO QE) is part of a global function that develops product and process solutions, leading to operational excellence. We are delivering manufacturing engineering solutions to product projects for different truck product classes within Volvo group. It’s a place where we learn new technologies from both vehicle engineering and manufacturing engineering. Digitalization is one of the key enabler for our GTO strategies, hence we are now looking for an engineer who can contribute to the Data Digitalization focused areas such as Visual Management. What you will do At GTO QE, you as a Power BI and data digitalization engineer, will contribute to the transformation of our digitalization strategies in the transport industry. You will: · Initiate and drive requirements gathering with the business stakeholders to understand their business context and collect the data · Pre-process, clean and structure data to facilitate data exploration and advanced analytics activities. · Conceptualize, Design and Implement Power BI dashboards using advanced visualization tools. · Using analytical skills, draw conclusions, predict the results and provide suggestions, answers and recommendations to business stakeholders questions. · Access, query and analyse data using different software, tools and techniques. · Be part of the data modelling process (design and implementation) as well as in the definition of business rules that will ensure data consistency and quality. · Be an active member of the Data Digitalization network, sharing knowledge and best practices with your peers. · Benefit from dedicated trainings to maintain and develop your Data Analyst skills. Are you the one? · Having an Engineering degree in CS/IT/E&C/E&E. · Having development experience using Microsoft Office 365 apps, Power BI, Power Automate etc · You are experienced in designing and developing dashboard using at least one visualization tool (such as PowerBI for example). · You have experience of developing tools that are self-sustainable and need very less or no maintenance · You are well versed with Data management methods (Collection, Reporting, Analysis, Prevention, Prediction etc) · You are proactive problem solver with innovative thinking with a strong sense of teamwork. · You have excellent communication skills in English. · Curious with a strong willingness to learn. Education & Experience Required: A master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and IT) with 2-5 years of experience.
