Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Building Safety Manager for a national housing association. This is a home based role, involving ad-hoc national travel to properties when required, and travel to the North West approximately once per month. The salary is £52,000 per annum, plus £5,000 car allowance. and mileage for any travel can be claimed immediately from home to site.
The role:
1. Ensure properties are compliant in the big 6 areas, including gas, fire, water, asbestos, electrical, and lifting equipment
2. Ensure all properties comply with health and safety legislation, including external and communal areas
3. Undertake regular internal audits on the execution of the organisation’s statutory and regulatory obligations
4. Act as Building Safety Lead for the organisation, developing policies, processes and systems to identify and manage risks to our properties
5. Ensure contractors comply with health and safety regulations, acting as the go-to person for CDM and Building Safety Assurance
What you need:
6. NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety Qualification
7. Knowledge of legislative compliance requirements in housing including Gas, Fire, Water, Asbestos, Electrical and specialist equipment relevant to the housing sector and construction
8. Full UK Driving Licence
