External Affairs Adviser Salary: £38,000 £40,000 (dependent on experience) Location: Westminster, London with agile working Working Hours : 35 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent Purpose of the role & how you will contribute: A rare opportunity has arisen to join the NFU's high performing External Affairs team in Westminster. In this exciting role, you will support the teams campaigning activities and help to deliver a full calendar of activity within Westminster to ensure that the NFUs campaign and lobbying priorities are delivered effectively and collaboratively. You will also be required to support the successful running of the NFUs London Office and any meetings or events hosted by the NFU. What youll bring: With a degree in politics, communications or a relevant subject, or equivalent experience, youll hit the ground running supporting the delivery of our external affairs activity. Youre politically savvy and have an interest in agriculture, food, and farming. You build strong stakeholder relationships and write excellent briefings, articles, and speeches. You understand the UK parliamentary process and effective lobbying, and your communication and interpersonal skills are first-rate. You work well in multidisciplinary teams and have excellent IT skills, and your ability to stay calm under pressure means youre able to make balanced judgments. If this sounds like you, apply today.
