Mechanical Maintenance Facilities Engineer - Large Facilities Provider - Edinburgh - Up to £39,000
A new opportunity for a Mechanical Facilities Engineer to join an established Facilities Company on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance and minor works services, covering a wide range of mechanical equipment, including large industrial units such as dual-fired boilers and heating and ventilation distribution equipment.
Hours of work:
Monday - Friday : 08.00 - 16.00
Duties & Responsibilities:
Undertake fault finding on complex mechanical systems, including medical gas systems, MTHW/LTHW pressure heating water systems, critical systems, and pressurised steam systems.
Use cause-effect analysis and detailed examination to diagnose faults, referencing all relevant drawings and schematics.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, commissioning, and testing in line with procedures, completing necessary reports, test certificates, and drawing updates.
Ensure full compliance with safety guidelines, including Risk Assessments, Site Safety, Fire Safety, Control of Infection, and Hazardous Substances.
Operate and maintain specialist tools and equipment, such as analytical test devices, portable electrical equipment, welding equipment, emergency generators, medical gas equipment, and geared drives.What’s on Offer?
