We are actively supporting Northern Powergrid in appointing a Warehouse Operative with a current Counterbalance Licence for their site in Billingham.
The role is initially 8 week temporary however this is a possibility that this role will go permanent for the right candidate.
The key responsibilities are:
Record transactions and administer WMS Oracle systems.
Accept deliveries and deal with issues/returns.
Match goods received with delivery notes.
Unload and receive goods from suppliers and internal deliveries.
Maintain correct stock levels in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensure stock security is maintained at all times.
Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping at all times.
Ensure the exterior of the warehouse, including entrances and loading docks, is clean and free of debris.
Organize and store cleaning supplies properly to ensure easy access and inventory control
Assist with additional cleaning tasks or special projects as directed by the supervisor.
Use of a forklift.
Essential criteria
Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence - We can't accept newly qualified operators on this occasion, continued employment will be subject to a satisfactory induction and assessment on safe use of forklift on day one.
Awareness of H&S at Work - Ideally, they should come with manual handling certificates, but full training will be provided on day one along with an assessment much like above.
Communication Skills - We need excellent communicators who are well versed in warehouse/logistics.
Customer Service and Keen Attention to Detail Skills
IT Skills - We need strong abilities to operate complex systems.
Time Management - We operate to tight schedules, so require excellent time management skills.
