As a Merchandiser at TBCo, you will: Deliver planned sales, profitability and stock targets of the business through effective planning and in season trading. Take ownership of the strategic planning & trading, managing category intake and line flow plans, forecasts, stock and OTB. Continually assess department performance for both risk & opportunity, taking necessary trading action in a timely manner. Analyse market trends and customer preferences to inform & improve buying decisions. Develop short term and long term department strategies with the Buying team and Merchandise Manager to maximise department profit Own and develop a succinct merchandising reporting suite in order to analyse performance. Implement efficient ordering processes to ensure timely product availability while minimising stock holding and markdown costs, adhering to the critical path. Build strong relationships with the Design & Buying teams to shape seasonal collections, balancing commerciality with seasonal design direction. Maintain accuracy of all relevant documentation including range plans & delivery schedule to assist the wider team in planning stock availability and launch plans. Display the ability to work cross functionally with key stakeholders across the business, including Finance, B2B, Marketing & Warehouse. Seek opportunities to improve ways of working and systems use to trade more effectively across channels and markets, sharing knowledge with the team The ideal candidate will have: 3 years of merchandising experience. Strong systems skills, including advanced Excel knowledge. A strong attention to detail. Strong numerical & analytical skills, the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from large sets of data, as well as an understanding of forecasting methodology. Commercial awareness; a strong understanding of the current global retail market and TBCo customer. A proactive mindset, able to self-manage and effectively manage priorities.
