Meridian Business Support are recruiting for a Warehouse Manager for one of our prestigious clients based in Meir Park.
The Job Role:
Working as the Warehouse Manager, the candidate will take full ownership and responsibility for the inventory flow from Production output, Storage of Finished Goods, Warehousing, Loading, Outbound Despatch, Delivery and POD (Proof Of Delivery) and excellent Customer experience, whilst ensuring Safety, Quality, Cost and delivery KPI’s are met, and Continuous Improvement culture is embedded.
The candidate will support other UK sites as appropriate. This role sits within an Operational Management team of approximately 7 Managers reporting to the Plant Manager.
The Warehouse Manager role is responsible for all aspects of Inventory relating to receipt from Production, Safe Storage Practices, Excellent Warehousemanship, Loading, Outbound Despatch, Incoming 3rd Party goods (E.G. Gradient ‘sister site’), Delivery, Customer experience and appropriate and timely POD’s disciplines. There is also a relatively small amount of export business which involves loading of shipping containers, which must be done whilst observing necessary international requirements in liaison with export staff.
There are several shift patterns worked within the warehouse and transport administration area. The site operates 24hrs Mon to Fri, as well as weekends on days. Warehouse shift patterns vary, but will always reflect Production, Transport and Customer Service needs.
Records of every product movement, whether transfers from production to warehouse, or from warehouse to loading, are maintained. Although the role will be predominantly focused and based in Stoke, reporting to the Plant Manager, you will also have a close relationship with the Commercial/Transport Manager, Production Manager, as well as sister site Manager, to provide seamless service across the organisation and to customer premises. Transport provision is currently via a 4th party logistics provider which means there is a need for detailed daily pro-active communications.
Working Hours:
The working hours are Monday - Friday working days, 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, which comes with a salary of £42000 per annum.
