About The Opportunity
Due to a retirement within the team, we have an exciting permanent opportunity to join Cambria’s Management Team in North Wales. This is a unique chance to make a significant impact on the lives of our residents by ensuring they receive an outstanding repairs and maintenance services.
What will you be doing?
As Operations Manager you will take responsibility for the operational management of a team delivering a first-class repairs and maintenance service to Wales & West Housing Group’s (WWHG) residents in North Wales.
As a member of Cambria’s Management Team, you will assist Cambria’s Managing Director and Head of Maintenance Delivery in strategic leadership, development, and improvement of the business.
Working with colleagues, in both Cambria and Wales & West Housing, you will support, manage, and motivate staff, suppliers, and contractors to deliver an effective, efficient, and productive maintenance, refurbishment, and improvement service.
This role will be based at our Ewloe office and will require you to travel across North Wales with occasional travel to our South Wales office. As such, you will be required to possess a full driving licence with daily use of a personal vehicle.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to help Cambria build on its success. Candidates will most likely be working in a commercial building or maintenance department/company and now seek a new challenge. With strong commercial, technical and people management experience in the property maintenance sector and a flair for development of operational staff you will be keen to help make Cambria a market leader in housing maintenance.
To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need
* A can-do attitude, excellent leadership skills and a drive to deliver positive outcomes for Cambria and WWH’s residents.
* Strong management skills and the ability to lead a team across multiple on-site locations.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and ICT skills.
* Self-motivation, to work on your own and the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
* An ability to support and supervise an operational workforce to deliver reactive maintenance, planned refurbishment works, and empty property repairs across all trade disciplines, including monitoring the quality of work, management of systems and service delivery.
* To ensure continuous improvement of service delivery by listening to customers, understanding what matters to them, and designing the flow of work against demand while ensuring the full participation of Cambria staff and those in WWHG or other clients.
* To establish close, positive working relationships with relevant sections of WWHG, contractors, and where appropriate resident groups.
* To spend time working alongside individual staff members, in the field, and with your teams to experience and understand performance therefore enabling informed actions to be taken on systems that deliver services.
* An ability to maintain confidentiality within a commercial environment.
* An ability to manage conflicting priorities and demands.
