M&E Engineer - Wendover
We have a fantastic opportunity working with a Tier 1 contractor on a permanent basis. They are requiring a M&E Engineer to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new HS2 rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The M&E Site Engineer is responsible on site for other junior engineers and assists in the construction operations in the Banbury area.
You will be required to liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out M&E works activities to the required standards, programme and budget.
You will be responsible for work with the other team members of the M&E team and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and Sub-Agent. Specification and coordination of varied contractors and time frame to ensure smooth delivery in a 'just in time' fashion.
Ensuring that the team have all current information and resources required to carry out their duties, you will be required to assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.
Requirements:
HNC/Degree (Construction/M&E related) or equivalent
You must hold a CSCS - White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor
Previous structures experience is preferred
Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills
Experience in M&E including HVAC, LV, General Heat Recovery, Cooling Systems, Building Management Systems, Gas Suppression, Fire Systems including hydrants and alarms is essential for this role
You must hold a driving license and have access to a vehicle
