Job Title: Shift Engineer Reports to: Engineering Manager Scope of Role: East Kilbride Job Purpose: Time served multi-skilled engineer to join existing engineering team. Role Responsibilities: - Working 12 hour shifts following a customer led rostered shift pattern. - Maintenance and repair of printing and packaging machines and site services. - Contractor control Qualifications: - Time served apprenticeship - either electrical or mechanical - Multi-skilled training with cross over experience Knowledge, skills, experience: - The ability to adopt a flexible and reactive approach to machine maintenance and breakdowns - The ability to work in both a challenging and interesting environment - Involvement in preventative and predictive maintenance activity - Pro-active involvement in improvement projects - To work strictly within current Health and Safety guidelines - A working knowledge of PLC/microprocessor controlled production equipment - The ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical and pneumatic schematics - A working knowledge of computerised maintenance databases - PC literacy Behaviours: - Initiative - Innovative - Team Working - Tenacity - Thoroughness - Concern for standards - Results focused Smurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions.
