Job Title: Analyst, Commercial Reports To: Associate Director, Commercial Experience Level : Graduate / 1 year experience Desired Background: Renewable / Engineering / Maths based degree with a keen interest in renewables. The Person: The successful candidate will have a specific interest, and demonstrable experience in, assessing, managing, and reporting operational performance data. Advanced Microsoft Excel and modelling skills, with an analytical approach, will allow the successful candidate to produce insightful analysis of performance and financial data and identify errors and trends in the underlying financial and operational performance of the assets and portfolios. Familiarity with renewables, financial models and basic accountancy will also be considered favourably. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to work in a pressured, fast-paced environme n t, collaborating across business areas and external agencies. Working within a small team requires the candidate to effectively manage workloads, prioritise effectively to meet deadlines, and take ownership of given tasks. The successful individual will strive for continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility. The Role: The role will sit in the Commercial Team of the LLP business as the most junior member of the team. The Commercial Team has a wide scope which includes working in different areas with various areas of the wider group. It is expected that the candidate will grow in expertise and responsibility quickly with the role. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Tracking the Performance of Assets, Portfolios & Service Providers Supporting the Associate Director as the ‘owner’s representative’, work closely with appointed service providers to ensure the interests of investors and lenders are maintained. Develop & maintain a deep understanding of a portion of the UK solar PV portfolio - specifically performance KPIs, areas of underperformance, contractor performance, and operational & capital expenditure. Assist the Associate Director and the wider team in the review of financial data and operating models to ensure asset performance is in line with the investment case. 2. Reporting Ownership of the timely delivery of periodic operational and financial reports from service providers and/or other business functions within the Bluefield Group. Assess the data contained within the reports to identify potential errors or irregularities and interpret trends and patterns to produce insightful narratives. The creation of impactful and informative infographics, charts and trend analysis diagrams to enable better communication of key themes with various counterparties. Arrange and facilitate monthly partner-level operational update meetings and attend and contribute to a variety of other meetings and forums. 3. ESG Ownership on the key relationship with the Bluefield ESG team. The candidate will lead any ESG initiatives on behalf of the Commercial team, ensuring that any key results are being tracked to enable smooth reporting to the wider business. 4.Ad Hoc tasks As a member of a small team, the successful candidate will be required to undertake additional tasks, workstreams and objectives outside of the primary duties and responsibilities to help support the wider team. This may involve visits to group company offices outside of London. On occasion, this may involve overnight stays in suitable hotel accommodation. Job Location: Based in London, with business travel. Hybrid working available, with a minimum attendance in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week, with further days as required via business needs. Hours of Work: This role is primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 5.30pm, but will routinely involve longer hours. You may occasionally be required to stay away overnight for periods to facilitate meetings, conferences, and group duties.
