A prestigious, £multi-billion multi-national seeks a highly credible Logistics Procurement professional to join their high performing procurement function which is undergoing an exciting transformation following the addition of a visionary leadership team. This major market player is embarking on ambitious plans within the logistics category specifically across Transport, Warehousing, 3PL and Ocean & Air Freight whereby the Strategic Procurement Manager will play an instrumental role in driving strategic initiatives to unearth value and redefine key £multi-million logistics contracts.
The Strategic Procurement Manager will be responsible for driving supplier innovation and taking the lead on devising and delivering effective procurement strategies across a diverse range of subcategories. The role includes managing the performance of key logistics accounts such as DHL, Wincanton, Ceva, and GXO to deliver value in several key focus areas: commercial, sustainability, and digital. Logistics is a vitally important category area for the business due to the volume and scale of their operations, allowing them to deliver an unrivalled product range both globally and regionally to their customers.

Experience Required:
* Logistics Procurement Experience; Transport, Ocean / Air Freight, 3PL, and Warehousing.
* Experience across FMCG, Retail, F&B or Manufacturing.
* Demonstrable experience in managing large logistics spend, contract management, stakeholder management, and commercial management.
* Commercial acumen, strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills - SRM & ability to communicate with c-suite.
* Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with complex problem-solving.
* Ability to quickly devise strategies and execute plans to achieve ambitious goals.
* Relationship-driven and adaptable under pressure. Skilled at interfacing with major suppliers and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
* Degree or equivalent qualification. CIPS or MCIPS qualified.
