The Bookkeeper position would suit someone who has either worked in an accountancy firm or has solid bookkeeping / VAT experience and experience of relevant IT systems. Any knowledge of sage, xero etc would be beneficial. The firm are ideally looking for 2 people on a part-time basis but will consider hiring one full-time person instead. The Role: Due to recent client growth, the firm is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team on a part-time basis, offering flexible hours that can accommodate school schedules. This role is ideal for someone looking for a professional position that balances family commitments while providing opportunities for growth. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, invoicing, payroll support, and maintaining accurate records in accounting software. The firm is looking for a candidate with proven bookkeeping experience, attention to detail, and proficiency in software like Xero or QuickBooks. Key Responsibilities: Manage bookkeeping duties for a variety of clients. Process financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare reports. Handle VAT returns and liaise with HMRC where necessary. Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date. Work closely with the wider accounting team to support client needs.
