Non-Executive Director – Quality Assurance
Overview:
Our client, a rapidly growing biopharmaceutical company, backed by significant new investment, is seeking a Non-Executive Director (NED) to join its board. The company specialises in the manufacturing of sterile injectable vaccines and other injectables, and is looking for a seasoned professional to help strengthen its quality assurance frameworks as it scales.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic guidance to the CEO and leadership team on quality assurance for sterile injectables.
* Advise on streamlining processes to ensure compliance, efficiency, and scalability.
* Participate in 8 board meetings annually to provide oversight and input on key business and quality assurance matters.
* Support executive leadership with expert advice and mentoring, particularly on quality frameworks and operational excellence.
Ideal Candidate:
* Must currently be in a senior position, with a proven track record of leadership and experience in quality assurance within pharmaceuticals or biotech, especially in sterile injectables.
Examples of suitable current roles include:
* Chief Quality Officer (CQO)
* VP of Quality Assurance
* Head of Quality
* Experience in scaling businesses and implementing operational excellence in regulated environments.
* Previous board-level or senior leadership experience.
* Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management, and quality control.
Time Commitment:
* 8 board meetings per year (approximately 1 meeting every 6 weeks ), with additional preparation and ad hoc advisory as needed.
* Total time commitment will be approximately 12–15 days per year, depending on meeting preparation and additional advisory responsibilities.
