Through the management of a team of specialists and own specific knowledge, the role holder is responsible for generating value for the organisation by driving business, operational, organisational, technology, and compliance subject matters.
Proactively recognises emerging trends, problems, and business needs and provides innovative solutions wherever necessary by designing, developing, and securing deployment of strategies, policies, processes, and tools in their own area of expertise. This will ensure that performance activities are consistent and compliant whilst providing expert advice within the Supply Chain team and the wider business.
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.
As a Principal Process and Performance Manager C2 x2, your main responsibilities will be to:
* Lead teams to deliver the strategic direction of Supply Chain Process and Performance.
* Support the Strategic Supply Chain teams and the Procurement operations teams by providing sufficient governance, reports, systems, and processes.
* Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and promote awareness of the Supply Chain Management function.
* Provision of standard and bespoke business reports, analysis, and material for functional performance metrics and reviews.
* Resource management and planning to deliver required tasks, realizing opportunities for savings and efficiencies.
* Identification and management of risks and opportunities within the area of accountability.
* Ensuring the creation and maintenance of the Supply Chain Management processes, procedures, systems, tools, and guidelines regarding compliance with AWE’s contractual, regulatory, and legislative commitments.
* Creation and delivery of appropriate training material.
Essential:
* Motivating, developing, and managing a small team of specialists, setting clear objectives and undertaking performance reviews.
* Lead direct reports and contribute to the overall leadership of the Compliance Team, ensuring the team develops fit-for-purpose capability and experience to drive delivery of Supply Chain sub-functions compliance agenda.
* Provide strategic leadership and compliance with particular focus on Schedule 37 and 38 of the M&O contracts to determine the risk and compliance agenda across Supply Chain.
* Develop and maintain the risk management tracking and methodology for the Supply Chain sub-function.
* Coach and mentor Supply Chain sub-function on AWE expectations for effective control of risk and compliance, ensuring that the Supply Chain sub-function is informed of changes to legislation and regulations.
* Take an active role in representing the Supply Chain sub-functions external relationships with the MoD, other government bodies, and external regulators.
* Lead and support internal and external audit activities, establishing scope, providing material for review by auditors, attending audit reviews, agreeing and closing out actions.
* Define the processes, tools, and methods for collating and managing spend data, ensuring it is cleansed and categorized accurately for spend analysis.
* Translate datasets and analysis into actionable and easy-to-understand insights and recommendations.
* Enable accurate and confident decision-making in the procurement process by providing industry and supply market intelligence research and analysis relevant to the company’s supplier markets to the Supply Chain team and the wider business.
