We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Art/Textiles Teacher who can engage students and foster their creativity. You will:
* Deliver inspiring, hands-on lessons that encourage students to explore artistic techniques
* Support students in creating high-quality portfolios for assessment and creative industry pathways
* Introduce students to diverse artistic styles, cultures, and techniques
* Incorporate both traditional and digital media into engaging lessons
* Help students showcase their work through exhibitions and competitions
* Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment
The ideal candidate will be a creative leader and role model with:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent - ECTs are encouraged to apply
* A strong background in Art & Design, Textiles, or Photography
* A passion for the arts and an ability to inspire students of all abilities
* A dynamic and innovative approach to teaching
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students
* A commitment to collaborating with colleagues and contributing to the wider school community
This large, thriving 11-18 comprehensive school in Ringwood is located in a beautiful setting near the New Forest and the Hampshire/Dorset coastline. The school offers a well-established and well-resourced Art department with six specialist rooms, a dedicated photography studio, a darkroom, and a supportive team of staff, including a technician.
Students have the opportunity to study a range of Art disciplines, including Art, Textiles, and Photography, from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level. The school takes pride in fostering creativity and encouraging students to explore their artistic potential. The Art department regularly collaborates with partner schools and creative industry professionals, providing students with valuable experiences beyond the classroom.
