Whilst our client already has a fully-functioning finance structure in place, due to an internal change, we are looking to speak to experienced Finance Managers who are seeking their next challenging role, and looking to head up the finance function of a hugely successful, and highly regarded business. Whilst this role will of course include typical day-to-day financial activities, the position is also pivotal in developing new finance functions for the business, as well as working strategically across all teams, managing budgets, assessing cashflow and assessing any financial risks that may be presented. The successful candidate will particularly work closely with the Managing Director, as well as the Senior Leadership and wider team. As Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following; - Management of profit and loss - Producing in-depth statements and key financial documents - Reviewing monthly financial performance and projecting profitability - Liaising with internal teams including Account Managers to assess work in progress and expected income – Collaborating with the team to create financial forecasts and budgets – Producing comprehensive financial guides to help steer the business and influence decision making – Conducing regular audits to ensure financial compliance across the business – Identify cost saving strategies – Conduct financial risk strategies to minimise any risk the business is faced with - Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure pipeline is kept up to date across the business, including KPI monitoring and reporting – Managing external relationships including with Accountants and banks as well as other financial organisations – Overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping activities including payroll, invoicing and credit control – Whilst there will be no direct reports immediately the team is likely to grow and therefore team management responsibilities will be included in the role We would love to hear from dynamic Finance Managers who have the following skills and experience; - ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or working towards one of these qualifications – Previous managerial experience leading a finance team – Experience working within professional or business services would be advantageous – Confident using IT including Excel – Confidence using Xero would be highly advantageous – Exceptional analytical skills with excellent ability to interpret complex financial data – Strong problem-solving skills – Strict attention to detail – Exceptional communication skills – Driven – Ability to work within a fast-paced role and business – Hugely collaborative and enjoys working across the entire team including SLT, Managers and the wider team For further information about this role please contact Becca as soon as possible
