An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rural Surveyor to join our Cirencester team.
You’ll be responsible for providing support and professional advice to a range of private and institutional land owners as well as providing bespoke pieces of consultancy advice. You should be a good communicator with an ability to adapt your style to meet the individual client requirements.
You’ll be based out of our Cirencester office, and your focus will be in the following areas:
1. Demonstrates professional presentation, with a clear style of communication appropriate to the task.
2. Demonstrates an understanding of Health and Safety as it applies to the estate management sector.
3. Liaise and supervise contractors.
4. Demonstrates the ability to shape their own professional development with help from line manager.
5. Awareness of the wider Rural and Projects division and how the estate management team interacts with it.
6. Membership of, and interaction with, industry groups.
7. Demonstrates an understanding of basic tax law.
8. Demonstrate good understanding of landlord and tenant relationships, legislation and best practice guidance.
9. Strong negotiating and communication skills.
10. MRICS or working towards suitable property based accreditation.
11. Demonstrates an understanding of billing processes, timesheets and raising of invoices.
Team overview
Savills Cirencester team provides advice on the management of farms and estates. Our clients range from small private individuals through to large institutional landowners. The immediate team will comprise four members but you will be part of a larger team of 25 and be expected to work across teams.
The wider Rural division operates across the UK, with a network of 37 offices and a number of estate offices from Inverness in the North to Truro in the South-West.
