A specialist SEN school in Chorley is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, practical individual who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in keeping a school environment safe and well-maintained.
The Role:
1. Carrying out general site maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical work, and joinery.
2. Completing repairs, painting, decorating, and ensuring the school grounds are well-kept.
3. Liaising with contractors and supporting maintenance requests from staff.
4. Ensuring health and safety regulations are met across the site.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a trade background.
2. A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
3. Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
4. Own vehicle and a clean driving licence (mileage expenses reimbursed).
