Responsibilities:
* To support the Team Manager in managing a Safeguarding Team to deliver high quality customer services to the public relating to adult social care and safeguarding, ensuring all customer service targets are met
* To work collaboratively with other managers across Adult Services and the wider health and social care system to maximise independence and improve outcomes for service users at every stage of ‘Making safeguarding personal’
* To refer for relevant assessments as required e.g. Care Act Assessment, Human Rights Assessment, Risk Assessment, Carers Assessment to support individuals with particularly complex needs
* Responsible for providing expert social care advice and support to a team of social care professionals in the Safeguarding Team.
* To ensure that all Adult at risk enquiries are completed in a timely way and transferred to other teams when appropriate.
* To provide operational leadership and support as directed by the Team Manager to ensure the service achieves its Key Performance Indicators.
What we are looking for in a Social Worker:
* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK licence
* Post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
