Salary: £30,000- £49,084 per year
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Physics Teacher to join our secondary school team in Middlesbrough. If you are a skilled communicator with a love for science, this is your chance to inspire and engage students in one of the most exciting fields of study. You will have the opportunity to teach a diverse range of students, helping them to understand and explore the principles of Physics, from the basics to the cutting-edge developments in the field.
Key Responsibilities
* Teaching: Deliver high-quality Physics lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Student Engagement: Inspire students through innovative and interactive lessons that encourage scientific inquiry
* Assessment: Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to guide improvement
* Experimentation: Promote hands-on learning with practical experiments to bring theoretical concepts to life
* Support: Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, providing additional support where needed
* Extra-Curricular: Engage with students outside of the classroom through science clubs, competitions, and other events
* Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to support overall student success
Key Requirements
* Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Subject Knowledge: Strong background in Physics with a passion for teaching
* Experience: Experience teaching Physics at the secondary school level is preferred; NQTs are also encouraged to apply
* Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
* Approach: Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
* Commitment: Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying current with subject knowledge
* References: Provide at least two professional employment references
* DBS: Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
