Your role will be to provide advice and assistance on money advice & debt management to residents of East Renfrewshire Council.
You will work as part of a team and be involved in providing information and advice on all money related matters including complex case work, income maximisation, advising on benefits, negotiation with creditors & court representation as required. You will also contribute to the preparation & delivery of budgeting skills training & assist in promoting the service at Local & national levels.
You will liaise with various Council sections and departments including council tax, rents, welfare rights, benefits & social work.
You should have a minimum of standard grade English & Mathematics or equivalent qualification/work experience. A high standard of customer care skills are required. Organisational, keyboard and communication skills are essential.
Previous experience at skilled money advice level is essential, as is the ability to be flexible and work as part of a team.
Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
Successful applicant will have flexibility to choose shift pattern within core business hours of Monday- Friday 8am-6pm along with flexibility to work 3.5 – 5 days per week depending on individual preference.
