Job Purpose
We are looking to recruit a full-time Float Ward Clerk (37.5 Hours p/w - Monday to Friday - 08:00 - 16:00 TBC). The role of the Float Ward Clerk is vital to the BRHC as you will play an important role in ensuring high standards of administrative governance on a variety of our inpatient wards. You will be required to be the first point of contact on the ward(s) so a friendly and welcoming demeanour and calmness under pressure are essential for this role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include acting as the patient's first point of contact on the ward(s), greeting and signposting patients and relatives, processing patients using CareFlow, liaising with colleagues to facilitate a smooth and timely stay with the hospital, sending out patient information, and sorting and distributing post. The maintenance of paper and electronic records is also a key element of this role. You will be responsible for setting high standards of patient care by enacting the Trust's core values at all times.
