Our client is an international IT service provider who requires a Junior IT Support Engineer to work on their Tech Bar that provides on-site support to one of their NHS customers in Worcester.
START: 2ND JANUARY
DURATION: 6 MONTHS
RATE: £18.13 PER HOUR (37.5 HOURS PER WEEK)
LOCATION: WORCESTER
* Tech bar - Hours 07.45 - 17.00: Will need to be flexible to work on a rota with another engineer to cover an early and late shift to cover the required hours.
Responsibilities:
1. Assistance with IT related queries & general basic enquiries
2. Assist users logging into and logging tickets within Service Now
3. Complete administration within Service Now (log/update and close tickets)
4. Look up and check progress of IT support calls if requested.
5. Hardware diagnostics: carry out diagnostic tests to determine whether a fault is related to a hardware failure (or software/user profile issue). Check warranty and report to supplier or replace if out of warranty from stock.
6. Device rebuilds and ensure compliant before re-issue (configured with latest Windows updates)
7. Install & troubleshoot software.
8. Office 365 suite knowledge for troubleshooting.
9. Basic use of Active Directory - EG: PW resets, Bit locker recovery.
10. Basic use of SCCM.
11. Basic use of Nexthink.
12. NHS mail administration (creating accounts, PW resets, applying O365 Licenses, leavers and joiners, shared mailboxes, Multi-factor authentication).
13. Troubleshoot/fix MFA issues.
14. Educating users in; logins, mail, MS Teams, Outlook, Cisco VPN, Citrix.
15. Spare stock management.
16. Loan stock management.
17. Liaise with other internal teams and NHS Acute Trust staff for application support and password resets.
18. Basic mobile phone support.
19. Perform visits to A&E Dept (3 times a week) & Cancer services (once a week) and check with key contacts if there are any IT issues/perform quick fixes. Use Nexthink to check for any issues before each visit and complete a report each time.
20. Digital Dictation: create user accounts, add typist access and configure Olympus dictation devices.
21. Full on-site training will be given.
