Electronic/Electrical R&D Engineer

Salary: Circa £55K - £58K, depending on skill level and experience

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electronic/Electrical R&D Engineer to support their R&D and Manufacturing activities. This is a permanent position based in the Midlands, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and update electrical and electronic components and assemblies.
2. Support new and existing products, including high-power and high-voltage switched-mode power supplies and control electronics.
3. Collaborate with the Manufacturing and Quality teams to address current issues and develop solutions.
4. Conduct testing and development throughout the product life cycle, ensuring conformance with Electromagnetic Compatibility regulations and relevant electrical safety standards.
5. Utilize ECAD software for schematic capture, PCB layout, and wiring diagram.
Qualifications:
1. Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in hardware (analogue and digital) electronic engineering.
3. Broad knowledge of high-voltage components such as power supplies, DC-DC converters, inverters, and chargers.
4. Proficient in the use of ECAD software for schematic capture, PCB layout, and wiring diagram.
5. Strong understanding of electrical and electronic components and assemblies.
