We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced .Net Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Royal London. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical skills to help our teams design, develop, test, and implement efficient solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
The successful candidate will have a real impact on how Royal London develop our applications. You will be given the opportunity to grow your career within a team focussed on promoting internal career progression. This role is focussed on evolving the technology stack supporting our products and customers.
This role contributes to our purpose of strengthening the mutual choice for our customers, by providing the best technology solutions to our customers.
About the role
1. You will be working in a technology stack which primarily includes .NET Web API’s; C#; Javascript; Angular SPAs, and MS SQL Databases.
2. Participate in the development of technical solutions, managing own workload.
3. Provide technical advice and guidance to other software developers, proactively and reactively.
4. Takes responsibility for ensuring that all code meets Royal London Group standards, guidelines, and quality gates for given technology.
5. Encourages close collaboration with other disciplines within the team.
6. Takes an active role on the transfer of knowledge and sharing of experiences relating to own area of technical expertise at practice level.
About you
7. Enterprise development experience in .Net (C#).
8. Able to contribute to software design documents & standards.
9. Enterprise experience working across the full software development lifecycle.
10. Cloud based design experience would be desirable.
11. Desire to support the wider team and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
12. Able to communicate at all levels in an engaging and collaborative manner.
13. Keen to continue to develop technical skills in ever emerging technology stacks.
