The successful candidate will have experience of working within acute medicine. The post will be a fixed term contract for 12 months. Please note this vacancy is not recognised for training purposes, but the successful candidate will be given the same opportunities as the other trainees working on the Medical Rota. Main duties of the job The post holder should expect to deliver unscheduled care to a high quality, within our Acute Medical Unit and Emergency Department. The post holder will have experience and deliver care to the standard of a CT1 equivalent. The role is well supported, with on-site consultant cover from 8am to 10pm 7 days a week. The post holder would be expected to participate in the departmental teaching rota and our Quality Improvement Projects / clinical audit. We anticipate that the successful candidate would be working towards Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and would be happy to support them gaining this qualification. This is a busy clinical post which will deliver excellent experience in Acute Medicine in a thriving unit which enjoys a friendly working atmosphere. You would work alongside our 'take team' consisting of 2 consultants, Medical Registrar, 3 CT / Foundation doctors. Additional consultants and junior doctors cover the previous days take.
