The Role: We are seeking an experienced Web Analyst and Development lead who will join our expanding marketing team and will be responsible for two core areas. Firstly managing tracking, implementation, and site performance analytics to increase digital acquisition, and secondly acting as a website operations lead, serving as a key link between the marketing and development teams. This role ensures that business needs are translated effectively into technical requirements and that all website developments align with broader company objectives. Key Responsibilities: Analyse website performance using GA4, focusing on key metrics such as conversion rate, bounce rate, and drop-off rates, providing actionable insights to enhance user experience and boost conversions. Implement and configure GTM to ensure accurate, efficient tracking across the site. Develop and standardise data collection practices, including event naming conventions, data layer structure, and overall implementation oversight. Collaborate with stakeholders to create dashboards to share insights, highlighting gaps and opportunities for growth, while standardising reporting practices. Enhance data tracking and tagging across all Contentful websites, ensuring consistency and integrity, while troubleshooting any tracking issues. Support the delivery of the wider website development roadmap, managing the backlog, creating user stories, and leading the prioritisation process. Take ownership of coordinating between marketing and development teams to ensure business objectives and marketing needs are clearly communicated and effectively translated into technical solutions that drive business outcomes. Required Skills and Experience: 4-5 years experience in GA4 and GTM, with a proven track record of implementing tracking solutions and analysing key metrics to improve performance. Ability to create and maintain insightful dashboards, providing data-driven recommendations and standardising reporting for stakeholders translating analysis into strategic actions that deliver tangible results. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tracking issues and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (UX, marketing, and technical) to optimise website performance. Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS). Experience in project management, particularly in digital or web development. Experience working with development teams writing requirements and user stories. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams. Logistics: Location: Remote (UK-based) with occasional travel to meetings Salary: Circa £45K based on experience.
