Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the ongoing expansion of their design department. This role involves designing, prototyping, and testing new mechanical and electro-mechanical products, as well as maintaining and developing existing product lines. It offers an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers seeking broader exposure to product design and development, as well as for junior engineers looking to expand their knowledge and gain hands-on experience in a successful manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop mechanisms, components, and assemblies for both new and existing products.
* Create detailed part drawings and specifications using 3D CAD software.
* Prototype and test designs to ensure functionality and reliability.
* Support the introduction of new parts and designs into production.
* Assess and document products against specifications and industry standards.
* Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Technical Support teams as needed.
Essential Requirements
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Design Engineering or a related field.
* Experience with 3D CAD software (CREO and Windchill preferred, but similar software considered).
* Proficiency in reading, creating, and interpreting 2D engineering drawings.
* Understanding of geometric tolerances and fundamental engineering principles.
* Full right to work in the UK without the need for Visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with ERP software (Microsoft Navision preferred).
* Basic understanding of electronics and mechatronic principles.
* Hands-on experience with product testing.
