Job Description
What will you be doing? a0;
As an Electronics Engineer, you will join our a0;team to support our activities within the Naval a0;sector. At ALTEN, youll be at the forefront of innovation, designing firmware for advanced systems in the defence and aerospace sectors. You'll work on exciting projects such as developing FPGA-based solutions for cutting-edge sonar systems, secure communication devices, and high-performance radar technologies. These mission-critical products require precision, reliability, and adherence to industry-leading safety standards, giving you the chance to make a tangible impact on future defence capabilities.
Your main responsibilities will be: a0;
* Design, develop, and test FPGA-based firmware solutions, leveraging expertise in Xilinx FPGA chipsets.
* Independently execute end-to-end firmware development projects within tight timelines.
* Ensure compliance with SIL 2 safety standards for functional safety-critical systems.
* Perform detailed debugging and validation of FPGA designs to meet performance and reliability requirements.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate firmware with hardware and software solutions.
* Work within security clearance protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive projects.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required: a0;
* 5+ years of experience in firmware engineering, with a strong focus on FPGA design and development.
* Proficiency with Xilinx FPGA toolchains (e.g., Vivado) and related technologies.
* Ability to work independently on complex firmware projects, from concept to completion.
* Familiarity with SIL 2 safety standards and their application in firmware development (preferred).
* SC clearance or the ability to become SC cleared.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with experience in debugging and testing.
