Join our dynamic Risk Management team as a Health & Safety Consultant.
PIB Risk Management is currently recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Health & Safety Consultant. The purpose of the role is to provide Health & Safety Consultancy within the following sectors subject to competency:
* Social Care
* Charities
* Retail & Commercial
* Religious Organisations
* Automotive
* Engineering & Manufacturing
You will be responsible for covering Darlington, Middlesbrough & the North East Region. Travelling to client sites is an integral part of this role and some overnight stays will be necessary.
Responsibilities
* Work to an agreed “scope of work” and timescale with each client.
* Produce and review risk assessments, safe systems of work, method statements, policies, fire risk assessments etc.
* Be adaptable to different client environments.
* Present audit/report findings to a range of clients including boards of trustees, governors, or directors.
* Carry out accident investigations if required and assist with preparation of a legal defense should this prove necessary.
* Must have a good understanding of RIDDOR.
* Where applicable, operate our on-line Health and Safety Management System (xCenta) and help integrate the system into clients who use the system.
* Deliver technical support to colleagues, clients, and others.
* Represent the Company and client when dealing with enforcing authorities, insurance companies etc.
* When requested, undertake noise assessments, hand arm vibration assessments, safe air testing etc. (training will be provided).
Experience
* Minimum requirement of NEBOSH General Certificate and must be willing to work towards Level 6 NVQ Diploma (or equivalent).
* Excellent documented CPD.
* Excellent understanding of current legislation and standards.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* Forward-thinking and capable of meeting deadlines under pressure.
* Must have clean UK driving licence and own car (car allowance provided).
* DSEAR.
* Noise & Hand Arm Vibration Assessments.
