Health & Safety Manager
Location: Remote / Site Based. The role would suit candidates based within 2 hours of the Midlands but is open to candidates willing to travel across the UK.
Salary: £50,000 - £57,000 negotiable depending on experience, plus car / car allowance, travel & accommodation, and a competitive package.

One of the UK's leading engineering and construction companies, providing specialist building, civil engineering, and rail expertise across various markets. Currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager for their construction division, working on projects nationwide.
Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring compliance with legislative, corporate, and other health and safety requirements.
* Coordinating activities related to the implementation, development, and maintenance of the Safety Management System (SMS).
Candidate requirements:
* Relevant health & safety experience on construction/building projects.
* Ideally with main contractor experience.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
* CSCS card holder.
* Qualified internal health & safety auditor with audit experience.
* Minimum Grad IOSH.
* Understanding of BS OHSAS 18001:2007.
* Full driving license.
Desirable:
* Lead Auditor status (beneficial but not essential).
* Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).
Key accountabilities:
* Applying the SMS on site and in offices through inspections, audits, and meetings.
* Monitoring and facilitating compliance with BS OHSAS 18001:2007.
* Providing training, information, and advice to staff.
* Training and inducting staff into safety systems.
* Raising health & safety awareness.
* Conducting safety meetings, inspections, and audits.
* Reviewing and updating safety policies and procedures.
* Producing safety performance reports.
* Promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
* Supporting the Head of HSEQS in meeting corporate and legislative requirements.
