The Company
Our client is a specialist in the plant equipment sector. Due to growth, they now require a Key Account Manager covering the North West.
The Role
1. The Key Account Manager will play a key role in building and managing key customer relationships, driving new business acquisition, and ensuring customer satisfaction for continued and sustainable growth.
2. Develop and maintain strategic, long-term relationships with key customers, ensuring their needs are met through tailored solutions.
3. Identify new business opportunities and tactically increase the customer base. Develop a commercial pipeline.
4. Work with the Sales Manager to produce the sales budget, forecasts, and financial plans for your customers.
5. Deliver against all agreed financial KPI's.
6. Deliver the sales plan for your customer base.
7. Develop and manage an annual growth plan in line with new forecasts.
8. Produce regular reports on new target opportunities, market, and competitor information.
9. Prepare progress and forecast validation reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
10. Support customers with day-to-day management of their orders, addressing queries and providing solutions.
11. Manage a strategic value sales process, which increases our margin opportunity and aligns with our sales growth plan.
12. Collaborate with engineering, production, and customer services departments to support new product development, efficiency improvements, and enhancements to the customer experience.
The Person
1. Experience of working in a plant equipment environment.
2. Experience in a technical sales or key account management role.
3. Proven track record in B2B sales and achieving sales targets.
4. Proven record of delivering consistent profitable sales growth within a fast-paced environment.
5. Experience working with strategic sales processes and pipeline management.
6. Ability to develop and execute strategic customer plans.
7. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts and tasks simultaneously.
8. Ambitious and outgoing, highly organised with strong analytical skills.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with customers.
10. Strong IT skills (particularly MS Office and CRM systems).
11. Full driving licence.
12. Regular UK travel required.
