About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Senior Executive, Brand Strategy and Planning to cover months maternity leave. Working within the Brand Team and closely with teams across the club, in this role you will be responsible for supporting the application and adoption of the LFC brand framework and visual identity across club functions, channels and 3rd parties, ensuring the consistency, integrity, and effective representation of the Clubs brand across all touchpoints.
Key activity – what will you be doing?
1. As part of the wider Brand Team, responsible for supporting the overall application and adoption of the LFC brand framework and visual identity
2. Ongoing collaboration with departments across the club, supporting and providing brand solutions and recommendations across all activity, acting as brand sign off, collaborating with key stakeholders to understand their needs.
3. Manage and maintain Club, Partner and 3rd party LFC brand guidelines and brand tool kits, organising brand assets, ensuring accessibility, providing guidance on the use of brand elements to maintain consistency.
4. Manage brand onboarding of third-party media relationships, running brand induction sessions, providing appropriate assets to maximise relationships.
5. Support the application of Federation and Association Brand Guidelines into Club activity, acting as the interface for brand queries and sign off.
6. Work closely with design teams and external agencies to provide guidance and solutions to brand application queries on visual elements such as logos, colours, typography, and imagery
7. Conduct regular brand audits and implement processes to track and manage brand assets effectively.
8. Support the application of the LFC brand framework internally, supporting HR with Employee Brand Strategy that embeds the framework internally to promote and manage brand image
9. Support graphic installations around Anfield Stadium and wider LFC locations including Melwood and AXA training Ground, driving the brand narrative, engaging fans and visitors in brand story telling and experience
10. Support the Director, Brand Strategy and Campaign on the implementation and adoption of any new elements introduced as part of the LFC brand framework and visually identity e.g. TOV/Personality etc.
11. Support 3rd party IP queries liaising with the wider Brand Team, Brand Protection Team and legal where necessary.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role,
You will have the KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE in
12. Proven track record within a brand marketing or brand role, either agency side or in-house
13. Experience of managing and optimising brand frameworks across integrated activity/campaigns both on and off online
14. Experience in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
15. Experience in creating design briefs and working with a design teams, to create necessary brand assets
16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
17. Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and third parties.
18. Ability to manage projects to successful completion.
19. Strong attention-to-detail, organisational and planning skills
20. Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms.
21. Project Management skills. for overseeing the implementation of brand initiatives.
22. A ‘can do’ attitude at all times.
23. Strong team player with desire to succeed.
You will demonstrate TECHNICAL SKILLS in:
24. Proven experience in brand management, with a focus on developing and supporting the application of brand frameworks and guidelines.
25. Strong understanding of design principles, visual identity, and brand strategy.
26. Understand the Customer Insight/Research brand measurement programme to demonstrate the impact of an integrated brand planning approach.
27. Knowledge of budget management.
28. Knowledge of Adobe packages to create and amend documents.
29. Key Microsoft Suite skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint to create band alignment for Club departments.
