Product Specialist / Investment Specialist / Client Portfolio Manager
Our client is a global asset manager with products that span a broad spectrum of asset classes and strategies across Equities, Fixed Income, Sustainability, Private Markets, and Hedge Funds, with the latter being the focus of their next hire.
The hedge fund client team interacts cross-functionally with RM, Investments, and business functions to serve clients seeking alternative investments. These strategies include Equity Long/Short, Credit, Global Fixed Income, and Multi-Strategy, servicing clients across diverse geographies and industries.
In this role, you will be primarily focused on Equity Long/Short strategies, however, knowledge and hands-on experience with broader hedge fund strategies will be a significant asset.
You will engage in strategic initiatives to support client acquisition and retention through developing new investment products, crafting client-facing materials, and defining communication strategies that highlight unique product features.
Furthermore, you will serve as an advisor on investment integrity and risk, conducting regular performance and risk evaluations to ensure alignment with client goals, and participating in formal investment reviews to secure top-tier investment results.
Additionally, you will support business functions, including risk management, product pricing, and operational guidelines, while resolving internal challenges and sharing best practices across teams to promote a unified approach.
Fundamentally, your day-to-day will include:
* Analysing portfolio alignment, performance, risk indicators, market dynamics, and competitive positioning.
* Creating and updating client-facing materials, assisting with RFPs, handling client queries, and streamlining processes.
* Collaborating as part of a cohesive team to design creative client solutions and new investment strategies.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 6 years’ experience within a hedge fund or asset manager with a hedge fund/alternative asset focus.
* A relevant postgraduate qualification, such as an MBA or CFA, is beneficial but not required.
* Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability in ambiguous situations, and an initiative-driven approach.
* Excellent judgement, intellectual curiosity, and openness to unique perspectives.
* Proficiency in MS Excel, with familiarity in platforms like Bloomberg and FactSet seen as an asset.
* An international outlook and/or language skills are a plus.
* Willingness to travel periodically as required by the role.
